The WIDE FIT Warrior Microlite Original is Alt-Bergs best selling lightweight combat boot. The boot is Cambrelle® lined – non waterproof, ultra breathable, with excellent drying out properties.
The Warrior is now available in the new colour MoD Brown, which is fully compatible with multi-cam/MTP camouflage clothing.
The big advantage of Cambrelle lined boots is that they are much cooler in summer conditions, and in very wet conditions, where it is inevitable that water will enter the boot, they can be worn with waterproof socks (Sealskinz Merino Wool) – once off the foot, the Warrior Original will dry out so that it is damp (rather than wet).
Many soldiers find that a significant drawback with boots that have a waterproof liner (e.g. Sympatex®, or Gore-Tex®) is that, once wet inside, they remain much wetter, and heavier, for longer.
Internal dimensions of the boot enable a Sealskinz® type sock to be worn in extreme situations.
The Warrior boot has been used on operational deployment worldwide – from Bosnia and Sierra Leone to the Highlands of Afghanistan and the Falklands. The microlite sole has good shock absorption, and the 2.2 - 2.4mm leather – combined with the unique Alt-Berg Tri-flex® midsole give first class protection and support to the foot in a wide range of environments.
Leder-Gris Original **
Colour – MOD Brown
Apply with a brush, after 1 minute, brush vigorously with same brush.
Leather does not have to be completely dry before applying Leder-Gris. Leder-Gris may still be applied when leather is a little damp.
If leather is constantly going through a cycle of wet and dry, or if there are signs of leather hardening, which can lead to flex cracking – apply an occasional, one-off treatment of Leder-Gris Xtreme.
