Altberg Base Military MoD Brown Boot

This all Suede military boot packs European spec 2.0mm full grain suede and is actually a MK 2 version from Altberg which was upgraded to give greater flexibility whilst walking and improved breathability. Coupled with a military grade Cordura® fabric and a spacer meshtex lining across the forefoot and tongue offers practically 0% moisture retention

A relatively new boot from Altberg, you’ll see from the design it utilises similar characteristics as the Desert Microlite which is a tried and tested solution with over 25 years of pedigree. However the Base boot cut is a low ankle height specifically designed to greater greater mobility and torsional control of the foot. Given its design its likened to a running shoe with its narrow heel and waist set up, but offers the crucial ankle support whilst load bearing and over rough terrain

As with most Altberg boots they utilise the impressive Vibram® Masai sole, which is fantastic for shock absorption on most terrains - ideal for tabbing and runnin

Please note that given suede design the material must be cared for, and Altberg recommend their Leder-Bok boot care. Also worth noting that suede does take longer to dry than leather

Size and Fitting Advice
Here at John Bulls we’d recommend you choosing a 1/2 size above your normal shoe size as this allows for a thicker sock to be used with the boot

PLEASE NOTE: Altberg started introducing their new Defender Hi-Traction Sole onto their boots in June 2022 with an aim to replace all Vibram soles by February 2023. Whilst the new boots we stock have this new sole fitted we still do keep some older stock which features the Vibram sole.
