Description
This legendary boot was first developed back in 1997 as a really lightweight solution to assist and development recruits endurance during training. The lightweight Microlite construction which encompasses the Vibram Masai rubber sole and all leather design makes it an ideal candidate for running
The Cambrelle lining whilst extremely breathable does not contain a waterproof membrane. This design feature which at polar opposites to it’s Gore-tex compatriots, allows the boot to dry so much more efficiently and quicker when wet, especially inside the boot! However it’s worth noting that given its lightweight design the boot has minimal water absorption
This width fitting is Altberg’s standard size, so if you’ve not ever thought or needed to wear a wide or narrow fitting boot/shoe then this is your go to. If you are unsure at all about your fitting then please speak to us and we can offer sound advice on what to do

• Upper: 1.8mm Nida Hydro full grain soft supple leather
• Lining: Cambrelle ultra breathable, non-waterproof membrane
• Midsole: Tri-Flex 2-3 season, a combination of medium flex and torsional resistance, suitable for tabbing as well as rough terrain, excellent support of ankle and heel
• Sole: Vibram Masai rubber sole and lightweight, shock absorbing midl ayer, ideal for tabbing and running
• Weight: 660g (size 9)
• Height: 23cms (size 9 including heel)
• Footbed: Trek Airgrid Black
Size and Fitting Advice
Here at John Bulls we’d recommend you choosing a 1/2 size above your normal shoe size as this allows for a thicker sock to be used with the boot
PLEASE NOTE: Altberg started introducing their new Defender Hi-Traction Sole onto their boots in June 2022 with an aim to replace all Vibram soles by February 2023. Whilst the new boots we stock have this new sole fitted we still do keep some older stock which features the Vibram sole. If in any doubt or wish to know which sole we have for a particular size, then please do ask
