Durham Light Infantry Bullion Blazer Badge

The Durham Light Infantry (DLI) holds a rich and storied history within the annals of the British Army. Established in 1881 as part of the Childers Reforms, the regiment was formed through the merger of several local militia and volunteer units from County Durham. From its inception, the DLI played a vital role in various conflicts and campaigns, both at home and abroad.

In 1968, the Durham Light Infantry was amalgamated with other regiments to form the Light Infantry Regiment.
