I ordered these but realised they were needed on the next day delivery service so had to contact the company. They issued an invoice to cover the overnight delivery, changed things at their end & the boots arrived the next day. Great quality product already put to use.
As always Mark & John were amazing and allowed me to visit the warehouse to try the belay on before purchase. They made it a pleasant experience even though they were rushed off their feet.
The belay itself is a class bit of kit and definitely worth the money. If you’re due to deploy to Eastern Europe I highly recommend purchasing one as issued warm kit is sub standard unless you wear about 5 layers.

Competitive price, good product and an efficient service
I love altberg boots. These are comfortable out of the box. Took about 50 miles to break in. Good for jogging in, although not as comfortable as running shoes! The rocker in the sole helps with forward motion. I bought them to help heal my posterior tibialis tendonitis whilst maintaining my ultra training, which cleared up within 2 weeks of wearing these boots. The leather is fairly soft, I'd say they may not last a lifetime, but with altberg offering repairs, I think they're worth it.
Purchased a bundle set for my son last minute and the customer service was out of this world! They made sure it arrived on top and it was packaged so well. The items are such amazing quality and will definitely be ordered more items in the future!
I don't write reviews as a rule but the service i received merits it.
JB's knowledgeable and Informative staff listened to my request and helped with choosing a Last pattern and size (one half size up & A Forme) to suit my feet.
They recommended, but only after i asked (it wasn't an upsell) the Svartz Absorber Footbeds (so glad i got them). I also invested in some Leder Gris, staff advising the basic carton would be good enough, i wouldn't require the parade ground gloss pack for my needs. again well worth it for the weather protection (lots of grass and mud here)
This all worked out very well. Boots were initially "snug" but the obvious high quality of materials and workmanship allow the boot to break in naturally.
It adds confidence that when the boots wear down, Alt Berg will repair them at their own factory.
Despite being in a busy period catching up after xmas/newyear orders JB got the boots out that day, to arrive the following day.
They also went out of their way to honor a discount code I applied late.
I have no hesitation in recommending both John Bull as a retailer, and Alt Berg products.
When I buy again, both JB and Alt Berg will be the first port of call.

I love this jacket. My old snugpak sleeka elite was showing its age and this has been a great upgrade.
The only minor thing is there is no way to keep the hood rolled up as an extra collar. Or at least i havent figures it out yet.
