Highlander Halo Smock Black Jacket

The fleece lining a little thinner than my previous Montane version, but a lot cheaper.
Great quality for the price and ideal for what I wanted.
I would suggest to size up, just like Montane.
Got the black, will definitely consider the olive.
Communication with the shop and delivery superb.

Thin and warm and lots of vents

Could be thicker and have harder wearing elbows and a crotch quick release to the tail flap to stop the draft

Velcro could be bit longer and all the way to the seams

Can really feel the warmth, we've had some bad cold windy wet weather in Fife and I feel it's tremendous for keeping me alright

Ideal jacket for work under the kit. Warm fleece inside, wind and waterproof on the outside. Snug fit and plenty pockets. Very large hood as well which you don’t often find.
Sizes are quite small I’d say, so size up at least once, possible twice.

Fits greats and is warm as anything! Will buy again

I’m 6ft medium build and bought a large, good across the shoulders for me but room in the belly department if your a little bigger there

Jackets fits nice, keeps me dry/warm, it’s annoying the way the piece of cord hangs off the back of the neck attached to the hood and can’t tuck it under. Also the zips are very poor quality especially the zip on chest it keeps catching and not zipping up properly. Overall 6/10

I use these smock in the mountains and for over 20 years its been the buffalo mountain smoke that has proved its self in every condition, during fire service mountain races, winter and summer, and the 3 peaks race. I have purchased this Highlander Halo Smock Just to see how it compares ? Used it once, good fit, good zips, nice material, not sure yet of its wicking capability ? will see as the winter comes...

Light weight yet warm and comfortable to wear.

Very small made, good quality would have been great but for the sizing,sleeves were short,disappointed it didn't fit my husband

Great piece of kit that I intend to use as a wind shirt for motorcycling. A third of the price of a Buffalo shirt but with similar design and quality.

Was looking for a jacket for under my body armour and found the highlander. Great jacket and fits nicely too, kept me warm in -6 while out on patrol. Best value for money lightweight smock, it’s now my goto item, perfect for cold damp days, as it’s more than shower proof, keeps the wind out & is plenty warm enough!, when it starts to rain heavy, it’s thin enough to put a waterproof ontop with out being bulky!. Easy to vent your self, but is so good you end up. It wearing a jumper/sweater. Only niggle, if it had elbow pads it would be perfect!!
