Using Trouser Twists to keep the bottom of your trousers looking symmetrical and smart is a long-standing tradition in the forces. They're only a couple of pieces of elastic with hooks on the end, so what could possibly go wrong?

You naturally want to put the twists over the bottom of your trousers, but this isn't the case:
Pull your trouser legs up
Wrap the twists around the top of your boots Pull your trousers down
Turn the hem of one of the legs back in on itself
Tuck the hem under the twist
Repeat on your other leg
Make sure both legs are level.......
