Description
A British soldier slapping on the Luminae Virtus Rig Upgrade Kit is saying: enough with the limp, floppy plate carrier - let’s get tactical. At its core, this slick kit brings together three precision-engineered parts - a hardened laser-cut plastic cummerbund, a Velcro-front MOLLE interface, and Rear Zip Adapters, to turn that Virtus STV into something far more operator-grade.
The cummerbund is rigid by design, built to support radios, ammo pouches, and withstand the rough and tumble of fieldwork. It tenses securely via shock cord and locks into the zip-on adapter channels—no more floppy side bits flapping around.
The Velcro front adapter turns the front plate into a MOLLE playground, so velcro-compatible mag pouches snap in place like they were born there.
Meanwhile the rear zip adapters are as versatile as it gets—snap on any zip-on panel (Crye, PLCE, or Virtus), and count on three stitched channels to hold the cummerbund steady and stop it twisting under load.
Add-ons like triple-mag pouches or shoulder sleeves round out the setup (to be ordered separately), but the kit itself is the upgrade that turns issued kit into battle-ready kit. Perfect for trimming gear bulk, improving load stability, and always keeping your mags and kit exactly where you need them.
What's Included
Cummerbund - 1 x Luminae Lasercut and Thermal Plastic Cummerbund. Designed to be rigid to support radios and ammunition pouches. The cummerbund secures to the plate carrier through the channels on the "zip on adapter" with a shock cord centre to give tension.
Velcro Front Adapter - The Luminae Velcro front adapter is a Molle on velcro interface to allow the cummerbund to fasten and hold securely. This also allows any velcro backed magazine pouches to fix and secure.
Rear Zip Adapter - The rear zip adapters give the user the option to zip on any style of zip on pack (PLCE, CRYE or VIRTUS). The Adapters also have 3 channels stitched within them to secure the rear of the cummerbund and to stop it twisting under load.
Rear Flap Stow Panel - The Rear Flap stow panel is made to aid the stowing of the Virtus side wings within the back storage area of the plate carrier, this panel ensures that the buckles and straps do not rub on the users back when the side wings have been stowed away.
