Description
The Royal Signals is a corps of the British Army that specialises in communications and information systems. The Royal Signals beret cap badge worn by members of the Royal Signals is a representation of a Mercury's head, which is the Roman messenger of the gods and is often associated with communication.
The Royal Signals beret cap badge features a blue and white enamel shield with a gold-coloured Mercury's head in the centre. Above the shield is a Queen's crown, and below the shield is a scroll with the words "ROYAL SIGNALS" written in Latin
The beret worn by members of the Royal Signals is dark blue in colour, with a black leather band and a small brass button on top. The cap badge is worn on the front of the beret, just above the left eye.
